Master presents Armenian national costumes through dolls (PHOTOS)
For over 45 years, costume- and doll-maker Martuhi Sargsyan presents Armenian national costumes of different regions and times through doll-making.
Sargsyan, who has been honored with the title of National Master, noted that when creating these costumes she studied the works of ethnographers and specialists.
Also, the master depicts Armenian people’s occupations through these dolls.
Sargsyan has created over 100 such dolls, and they have “occupied” all the possible places in the small apartment of this doll-maker from Vanadzor.
Now, the distinguished doll-maker dreams about having her own studio and make her artwork accessible to everyone.
