Turkey deputy PM: Unless US stops military assistance to YPG, they will deceive the whole world

Vice-premier of Turkey Bekir Bozdag called the phone conversation of the country's President Tayyip Erdogan and his American counterpart Donald Trump “a turning point” in Turkish-American relations, which are currently in crisis, RIA Novosti reports.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that yesterday, Trump assured Erdogan by phone that he instructed to stop the supply of American weapons to the self-defense forces of the Syrian Kurds (YPG), whom Ankara considers a terrorist organization associated with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) banned in Turkey.
Earlier, Erdogan accused the US of helping the YPG forces “not only with weapons, but also with personnel.”
“The conversation between the two presidents is a turning point in our relations. If the U.S. does not keep its promise to stop YPG military assistance, they will deceive the whole world. Turkey will monitor this. It will also take a close look on the return of YPG weapons,” Bozdag said on Kanal 24.
