Gevorg Avetisyan: It is necessary to transfer the national culture to the younger generation living abroad (Video)
"Interview in Yelaket" and Anush Zohrabyan presenting a founder of "Fairtale's Calling" theatre Gevorg Avetisyan on the guest chair. The Q&A show host and her guest were talk about musical stageplay which were held in Armenia, June 2, as well as Armenian theatre in America.
Responding to a question about the establishment of the theater, Avetisyan noted: "The theatre were founded in1993 with playing Hovhannes Toumanyan's "Dog and Cat", - adding "Evil's end", "Drop of Honey" fairytales were followed.
He also said that the idea came from requirement of time and situation, because when he first stepped into America, he immediately noticed that everything is there.
"In America tere is no word "impossible". Having lived in USA for two years, I was convinced of this, but also realized that something is missing; our fairy tales should be available there. I always thought that if I do art in a foreign land, I will do it for the sake of children", - he said.
The desire for a foreign culture begins with children, that's why it is necessary to transfer the national culture to the younger generation living abroad.
