Official: Armenian delegation to PACE will be headed by Arpine Hovhannisyan

The Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will be headed by Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Arpine Hovhannisyan.
Deputy Speaker of the NA Eduard Sharmazanov told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am on Thursday.
According to him, inter-political and domestic issues, as well as certain foreign policy issues were discussed at the session of the Supreme Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
Decision was made regarding the offices of the Armenian delegations to international organizations, all the candidates being Republicans.
Thus, NA Speaker Ara Babloyan will head the Armenian Delegation to the CIS Parliamentary Assembly (PA). The CSTO PA delegation will be led by Eduard Sharmazanov, the delegation to the OSCE PA—by Hermine Naghdalyan, the delegations to Euronest and Armenia-EU—by Armen Ashotyan, delegation to NATO PA—by Koryun Nahapetyan, delegation to Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy —by Artashes Geghamyan, delegation to the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation—by Gagik Minasyan, delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie—by Margarit Yesayan, and delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union—by Ara Babloyan.
The RPA has also appointed the heads of friendship groups: Artashes Geghamyan will lead the Armenia-Russia friendship group, Eduard Sharmazanov—the Armenia-Georgia, Armenia-Belarus, Armenia-Cyprus friendship groups and Ara Babloyan—the Armenia-Artsakh group.
