Former Georgian president detained, he threatened to jump off roof
Former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili has been detained on the roof of 8-storey building in Kiev, Ukrainian media reported. Saakashvili, who is also former governor of Ukraine's Odessa region, climbed the roof on Tuesday morning and threatened to jump off after government prosecutors appeared at his home and tried to force entry and conduct a search of his apartment, his close associate David Sakravedlidze said.

Quake hits Italy
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre has informed that a magnitude-4.4 earthquake occurred in central Italy, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia. The tremor was recorded on Sunday at 11:34pm UTC, 111km northeast from capital city Rome. The hypocenter of this seismic activity was 2km beneath the surface. There are no reports yet about possible casualties and devastation.
